Joshua Mitchell is quickly becoming a household name throughout Indianapolis.  Starting his own company in High School was only the beginning as within 5 years he led the marketing team for Snakes on a Plane to working with such names as Rihanna and Lisa Raye.  Joshua has now set his eyes on the dating and social dynamic scene.  Joshua has a heavy background with Gender Science and became certified in Micro Expressions.  Joshua launched Miss Pivot in the summer of 2009 after a start-up weekend with the idea it shouldn’t be so hard to meet people in the real world.  Credited in Metromix with saying events such as Speed Dating aren’t optimal as “…people only end up walking away with a resume after a series of job interview questions, and that’s just not how you build attraction”.  Joshua moved Miss Pivot to Indianapolis in October of 2009 and launched the pivot services and coaching sessions.  Joshua hopes to continue expanding the Miss Pivot ideals and have people “stop hanging out in cliques at bars and be more social while out” as it’s helped him immensely both in his personal, but also professional career.

Kevin Emmons, came from a background of the mind with studies in Cognitive Science, Evolutionary Psychology, East-Asian Studies, as well as Systems.  Kevin was brought into Miss Pivot during the Indianapolis launch and was put in charge of all client coaching sessions as well as workshop director.  Kevin is certified in Body Language and specializes with non-verbal communication which is credited to make up 55% of human communication. Kevin has been responsible for many of the Miss Pivot materials as well as furthering research in social dynamics.  Kevin is quoted with saying “… it’s strange how people with spend hours preparing speeches, and when asked how much they’re ready from a vocal and body language presentation, they’ll give you a blank expression.  It’s like they’re going camping and packing firewood and not marshmallows.”  Kevin’s goals are to inspire as well as dumbfound people with the amount of information out there on social interaction.  He says, “I just can’t understand how people will spend hours working on life centric things such as preparing for tests and interviews for jobs, yet spend no time understanding their social skills which impact all of these items and more.”
